Unified Police investigating after two teenagers shot overnight in Taylorsville

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — Two 18-year-old women are recovering in the hospital after being shot in Taylorsville early Sunday morning.

Unified Police were dispatched to two different locations on reports of shots fired.

One location was a McDonald’s at 3900 West and 5400 South, where officers found both women.

One had been shot in the elbow, the other in the back.

Both were transported to a local hospital in stable and critical conditions, respectively.

The second location, 3700 West Baneberry Way, is where officials believe the women were shot.

Police were able to recover shell casings in the area, and found bullet holes in cars.

The incident is currently under investigation.
