A passenger who died following a crash on I-84 Friday night has been identified.
Just before 6:30 p.m., Utah Highway Patrol was dispatched to a crash blocking I-84 westbound near mile marker 95.
According to witnesses, a BMW traveling eastbound veered quickly to the left, and went through the cable barrier, colliding head-on with a Mercury passenger vehicle headed westbound.
A passenger in the Mercury, 92-year-old Gladys Vause of Morgan, Utah, sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
Officials are investigating the driver of the BMW for excessive speed and possible impairment.
