ROME, Italy — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced that the Rome Temple will bring forward their closure date for annual cleaning to March 6, 2020, amid COVID-19 concerns.
The temple was originally scheduled to close for cleaning on March 21, but recent directives issued from the Italian government to close schools and universities in relation to coronavirus developments, has pushed the date forward.
No re-opening date for the temple has been announced. Although the temple will remain closed to the public, individuals and couples with appointments already set for ordinances will be welcomed.
