For the week leading up to International Women's Day on March 8, 2020, we're spotlighting amazing women and women-run organizations to show that talent isn't gender-specific.
Today, we met the folks involved with SheTech, a program providing high school girls hands-on experiences and one-on-one mentoring to help them discover STEM fields.
Cydni Tetro, President of Women Tech Council, said more than 15,000 girls have been activated to pursue STEM careers. She brought two of them with her today to share their experience of empowerment with SheTech.
If you're interested in joining, registration is now open for all high school girls.
Cydni added that you might want to check out SheTech Explorer Day: A free conference of hands-on workshops and info, which Cydni says is the largest STEM activation event for girls in Utah, and will draw more than 3,000 girls across the state. That happens April 15, 2020 at Mountain America Expo Center.
