Weber State Head Coach Randy Rahe has had some very good scorers over his 14 seasons with the Wildcats.
In just the last four years, he's watched another one do his thing. Since his first season in Ogden, Jerrick Harding has been chasing history. History that unfolded on Thursday when the Cats topped Sacramento State 70-66.
With 2,123 points and counting, Harding rose to the top of the all-time leading scorer list in the Weber State record books. He surpassed Jeremy Senglin (2,078), Bruce Collins (2,019) and the most noted Wildcat, Damian Lillard (1,934).
When Coach Raye was asked to compare Lillard and Harding's game, he said work ethic is what shines through — the two both play with a chip on their shoulder, which gives him no doubt that Harding will be successful once his final season with Weber State comes to an end.
The Big Sky Tournament is around the corner, with a bid to the Big Dance if the Cats can take the crown, the NCAA Tournament is Harding's goal to finish his career.
