Downeast's innovative concept store at the District is all about immersing consumers into the home design experience.

Guests will interact and engage with design elements through touch, sight, and smell to piece together the picture-perfect home.

Autumn Sedgwick, Downeast Home Designer, gave us a tour of some of the cool features the store offers. She says trained staff are always on hand to provide customers with design assistance to bring their dream home to life.

You won't want to miss the Zen Room. This is a concept popular in Europe to allow shoppers a space to decompress. This relaxing space is highlighted in dark colors with calming effects in paint, wall coverings, furnishings and more.

The Accessories Area features a rug wall filled with different types of rugs and inspiration for floor coverings. You'll find decorative pillows in a variety of sizes, colors, and textiles to accent any room in your home. There are also small accessories including decorative baskets, stems and ideas for coffee tables, side tables and more.

You can learn how to layer a space in the Furniture Vignette. This room starts with paint, lighting and scale. Next, add in floor and window coverings, select furnishings for the home and follow up with accessories.

Downeast Home at The District is taking extra sanitation measures to ensure the safety of their guests and employees. Upon entering the store, a disinfection destination is available for hand sanitizing. Masks are required in-store as well as social distancing.
