'Tis the season of giving, and you can be the miracle in someone's life.
That's what the Salvation Army is all about all year long and Smiths Food & Drug helps them during the holidays with The Big Ring!
Outside of Smith's stores, you'll see the red kettles where you can drop money in. But this year, you can also just use your phone and pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or by credit card, all without touching anything!
Smith's provides volunteers or employees to ring the bell and provides a place for the kettles to set up.
The Salvation Army says because of the pandemic, they have fewer volunteers this year, and they could use some help.
They say they are being safe, wiping and sanitizing the kettles often, wearing masks and gloves and practicing social distancing.
The Salvation Army is also collecting toys for 5,000 kids this year. You can bring a toy with you or buy one at Smith's while you're shopping.
