BOUNTIFUL, Utah — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released the name a missionary who succumbed to his injuries after being struck by a car.
19-year-old McKay Bergeson of Bountiful, Utah, died Saturday evening after the car hit him while he was on his bike in Lafayette, Georgia. His mission companion was not injured.
Bergeson had been serving his LDS mission since December.
