Another dry week with mild temps & decreasing air quality- Tuesday, February 3

and last updated

The first week of February is going to feel more like March!

High pressure is centered along the west coast today but will build over Utah by the middle of the week. That's going to keep it mild and dry with temperatures climbing about 10-15 degrees above average. At the same time, inversions will get stronger and lead to an increase in valley haze & smog over the next few days.

There could finally be a change in the weather pattern by early next week with a series of weather systems likely moving through. There's still a lot of uncertainty about the timing and strength of any potential storms, but after an abnormally dry winter, it's something to look forward to!
