SALT LAKE CITY — There is a chance for showers and thunderstorms in eastern Utah, while things will get smoky and hazy in the northern areas on Tuesday.
A new heat wave begins Tuesday when triple-digit temperatures return to the valley and last until the weekend.
Some parts of the state will be under Excessive Heat Warnings or Heat Advisories from Tuesday through Thursday night.
