The Seattle Seahawks have selected their second Utah State University alum of the 2012 Draft. Running back Robert Turbin was selected in in the 11th spot of round 4, or the overall 106th pick.

Turbin is a 5-foot, 10-inch, 222-pound running back who received a grade of 68.0 in the NFL.com analysis. He was one of the top running backs at the NFL combine, bench pressing 225 pounds 28 times, tied with Boise State’s Dough Martin for most among all running backs. He also recorded 122.0 inches in the broad jump.

Turbin missed the 2010 season with a torn knee ligament and entered the NFL after his junior season. He was selected as 2011 WAC Player of the Year, after rushing for 1,517 yards and scoring 19 touchdowns.

NFL.com says, “Turbin has been a productive back at Utah State, consistently rushing for more than 100 yards per game.

“He remains a bit of an unknown, but he should excite leading up to the draft with his athletic ability and size.”
