(CNN) — In a ranking of the 100 stars who’ve amassed major amounts of both fame and wealth, Jennifer Lopez has landed in the top spot.

Thanks to the $52 million Lopez earned over the past year and her ubiquitous media presence, the now single mom of two is the No. 1 celebrity in Hollywood, according to Forbes.

The “Idol” judge even bested Oprah Winfrey, who came in at No. 2 on the list, and Lady Gaga, who slipped from being No. 1 last year to No. 5 on the 2012 ranking.

And while Forbes notes that Lopez’s decision to sign up for “American Idol” contributed nicely to her $52 million in earnings for the year, the singer/actress/reality star isn’t sure if she’ll return to the reality show that revived her career.

Now that things are moving again at warp speed for J. Lo – her upcoming world tour, movie career (her latest,”What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” arrives Friday), and even her alleged romance with choreographer Casper Smart – she just might be too busy.

“I don’t know,” the 42-year-old singer said Tuesday on “Ellen” about her future on the singing competition.

“I enjoy it. I really do enjoy it,” Lopez said. Still, “I miss doing other things,” she explained. “It really does lock you down.”

Then there’s the issue of her two young children with soon-to-be ex-husband Marc Anthony, whom Lopez said need her now more than ever.

“They’re getting more mobile,” she said of her 4-year-old twins Max and Emme. “They’re about to go to school. I just don’t know. I don’t know.”

If her indecision feels remarkably familiar, it’s because she had the same hesitation about signing on for another season of “Idol” last year.
