Football traffic:
The University of Utah @ Utah State game starts at 6 p.m. on Friday in Logan.
UDOT encourages drivers to leave the Salt Lake Valley before 3 p.m. because of construction zones on I-15 near Ogden and on Highway 91 in Brigham City, plus the evening commute.
To avoid construction and game day traffic, UDOT recommends using I-15 to SR-30 through Riverside as an alternate route before and after the game.
The Weber State @ BYU game will start on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Provo.
The 1600 North Interchange in Utah County will be closed for up to two weeks for paving. University Parkway is also restricted to two lanes in each direction between State Street and 800 East during daytime hours.
UDOT recommends using the Orem 800 North and University Avenue exits as alternate routes to make it in time for kick-off.
Salt Lake County:
The northbound I-15 ramps at 9000 South and 5300 South will close from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday for road maintenance. There will be intermittent lane restrictions and ramp closures each night throughout the weekend.
