UDOT's Tania Mashburn spoke with Good Day Utah on Friday about road construction expected over the weekend.
Utah County:
Southbound I-15 in Orem will be reduced to one lane on Sunday night between Lindon and University Parkway.
By Monday morning, southbound I-15 is scheduled to be reduced to three lanes for paving. These restrictions are scheduled to be in place for up to two weeks.
The Orem 1600 North interchange is still closed through late September for paving. Use the Orem 800 North and Pleasant Grove Boulevard exits as alternates.
Salt Lake County:
This weekend, drivers should also be aware of nighttime lane restrictions on Bangerter Highway from I-15 to 13800 South. Beginning Monday, these restrictions will shift to the daytime as crews repave the road and install new lane markings.
The project to re-stripe northbound I-15 continues with nighttime lane closures between 3300 South and 600 North. Northbound I-15 will be down to two lanes in some locations so plan ahead for lane closures and possible delays if you`re traveling at night.
BYU @ Utah football game:
Utah County residents are encouraged to leave by 6 p.m. to make it to Rice-Eccles Stadium in time for the game. [MORE]
