Dozens of girls at Stansbury High School say they weren’t allowed to attend their Homecoming dance Saturday night because their dresses were too short.

Scheels, the 220,000-square-foot sporting goods store that boasts a 65-foot Ferris wheel, a 16,000-gallon aquarium and more, opened in Sandy on Saturday.

The Utah Giant Pumpkin Growers Association held their annual pumpkin weigh-off at Thanksgiving Point on Saturday. The grand prize winner produced a pumpkin weighing 1,454 pounds.
