SALT LAKE CITY – More Utah Highway Patrol troopers will be on the roads this holiday weekend. Their goal is for everyone to arrive safely at their destination.
Last year, troopers say there were no fatalities in Utah over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, but just in the last two weeks, they’ve seen drivers lose their lives from drowsy driving, fatigue and not wearing seat belts.
To avoid problems, UHP suggests wearing your seat belt, getting the proper amount of sleep, don’t text and drive, don’t exceed the speed limit and don’t drink and drive.
