WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – A West Valley City man who struck and killed two women on Redwood Road last March was sentenced on Monday to five days in jail and eight months probation.
Michael Douglas Sleeter was accused of being high on drugs when his pickup truck, which had faulty breaks, hit the two women.
37-year-old Andrea Fuguel and 35-year-old Erica Warneke were walking to their car when they were hit. They left behind a combined seven children.
At the time, friends of the victims say the misdemeanor charges Sleeter faced were not enough.
