Store owner pulls gun on would-be robber

MILLCREEK, Utah -- Police arrested man for attempted aggravated robbery Monday in Millcreek.

South Salt Lake Police said Luis Guiterrez Gonzales walked into a convenience store at 3900 South and Main Street, pulled out a knife and demanded money.

The business owner was behind the register. He told the suspect "no" and pulled out a handgun, according to police. Gonzales allegedly put the knife on the counter and walked out of the store.

Soon after, police located Gonzales near State Street and 3900 South and he was taken into custody without incident.

No one was injured during the attempted robbery.

Gonzales was booked into Salt Lake County Jail and charged with aggravated robbery.
