OGDEN, Utah – The man accused of killing 16-year-old Alexis Rasmussen is asking for a change of venue.
Lawyers for Eric Millerberg want his trial to be moved from Weber County to Summit or Salt Lake County. They say the community has become more close-knit since Rasmussen was reported missing.
Prosecutors say Millerberg injected Rasmussen with a lethal dose of methamphetamine and heroin, then dumped her body in a remote canyon.
Millerberg faces multiple charges, including child abuse homicide and desecration of a body.
