WELLSVILLE, Utah – An 83-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl.
John S. Kerr, of Wellsville, was arrested last Friday and charged with three counts of first degree felony aggravated sexual abuse of a child.
Police say the victim recently told a parent about the alleged abuse, which occurred over a six-month period when she was 7 years old, and the parent called the Cache County Sheriff’s Office.
Kerr’s bail was reduced from $60,000 to $20,000 in an arraignment on Monday, and he posted bail that day.
