Aggies’ Davis drafted by Dolphins in third round

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah State’s Will Davis was drafted by the NFL’s Miami Dolphins in the third round and the 93rd overall pick.

The 5-foot-11-inch, 186 pound cornerback transferred to Utah State in 2011, where he played all 13 games and five starts. In his senior year, Davis played in 13 games and recorded 64 tackles, 4.5 for a loss, 17 pass breakups and five interceptions, one for a touchdown. He was named first-team All-WAC.

Davis received a 71.0 grade in the NFL.com analysis. He was picked by the Dophins with the 31st pick of Round 3, and the 93rd pick overall.

The Miami Dolphins finished with a 7-9 record in the 2012 NFL season.
