WEST JORDAN, Utah – Three homes have been evacuated after a homemade explosive device was found inside a West Jordan home Saturday.
Officer Ian Adams, West Jordan Police Department, said a homeowner contacted police Saturday afternoon and asked for help evicting some of his tenants.
When police arrived at the home, located at 9166 South Targhee Drive, they found drugs and a homemade explosive device.
Adams said three nearby homes have been evacuated. As of 8 p.m., he said authorities are waiting to obtain a search warrant before sending a bomb squad into the home.
