CEDAR HILLS -- Family and friends of a 14-year-old boy who died at a scout camp last week gathered at a church in Cedar Hills Monday morning for his funeral.

Fourteen-year-old Rocky Rhiddlehoover died while participating in a counselor-in-training program at the Tifie Scout Camp at Mountain Dell.

David Pack with The Boy Scouts of America National Parks Council said the teen was helping other staff members pick up trash around 8 p.m. Tuesday when he somehow slipped and fell under the trailer being used to haul the trash.

Fellow scouts and staff members from Tifie Scout Camp attended the funeral in uniform.

Rocky is remembered as a boy who loved to provide service and had a passion for music. He played the saxophone and was looking forward to joining the band at Mt. Ridge Jr. High.
