SALT LAKE CITY – There’s an old adage about trees falling in forests and not making a sound, but people likely noticed when a tree fell and blocked part of Main Street in Salt Lake City Monday.
The tree fell onto Main Street at 222 South at about 4:10 p.m. A photo submitted by FOX 13 Viewer Zach Holmquist shows the tree may have struck a vehicle when it came down.
Another photo taken from above, submitted by Twitter user @mikedburgin, showed the tree was blocking part of the street.
FOX 13 News will have more information as it becomes available.
