(CNN) — An attempted robbery at a convenience store outside Pittsburgh took an interesting twist… and it was all caught on camera.

Police say 42-year-old James Hayes walked into Moh’s Market in Ambridge just before 4:00 on Saturday afternoon. He approached the clerk behind the counter and pulled out a gun.

Seconds later, the clerk reached under the counter and grabbed his gun.
