CEDAR CITY, Utah — Crews are battling a wildfire that started 25 miles northwest of Cedar City Friday and burned and estimated 250 acres.
Bureau of Land Management officials said the Rush Lake Fire is burning along Highway 130, and they believe it was caused by lightning.
Officials said significant moisture fell on the fire Friday night and moderated the fire’s behavior. Firefighters anticipate the fire will be 100 percent contained by late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.
Two outbuildings and a pump house were threatened by the fire, but officials said that risk has been moderated.
