WEBER COUNTY, Utah — Utah Highway Patrol Troopers said they had to shoot several cows after the animals wandered into I-15 traffic Monday night.
UHP Cpl. Todd Johnson said troopers responded to the incident just before 8:30 p.m. He said northbound traffic was shut down for a period of time because of the animals.
Johnson said the troopers could not successfully get the cows off the road, and the animals were posing a hazard to traffic. He said troopers eventually made the decision to put down two cows.
