Education Secretary suggests later school start time for teens

Good news for high school students! The U.S. Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, suggests later school start time for teens.

Duncan cited research that found well-rested students are better students.

According to the Associated Press, Duncan said “There’s lots of research and common sense that lots of teens struggle to get up … to get on the bus.” Duncan said it would be up to the individual school districts to choose what time to start.
