SALT LAKE COUNTY — A 72-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle accident in East Canyon Monday afternoon.
The man was driving south on State Route 65. As he was traveling just under Interstate 80 he reportedly veered off the road and crashed into the bridge embankment, said Lt. Justin Hoyal with Unified Police Department.
Utah Highway Patrol officials said the accident occurred on State Route 65. Inside east and westbound lanes have been closed. The Unified Police Department will be investigating the crash.
