SALT LAKE CITY – The Gore School of Business at Westminster College is celebrating 25 years of education and achievement.
The Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business was dedicated 25 years ago Thursday, and it was funded by the Gore family after the sudden death of Bill Gore, who was an entrepreneur and co-founder of W.L. Gore and Associates.
Gore’s widow, Vieve, and his daughter donated the funds for the business school. Jin Wang of Westminster College is the dean of the business school, and he said the anniversary is a great opportunity to dedicate themselves to being the best.
“It imposes a sense of mission on us, that is we have to do more and be better and to become the best we can be as an institution that is preparing the leaders of the next generations for the changing world,” he said.
The business school has had more than 6,800 graduates during the course of the last quarter of a century.
