Some road projects suspended ahead of game day traffic

Posted

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Department of Transportation crews working along I-15 between Salt Lake City and Provo are taking a break for the Holy War.

There will likely still be plenty of traffic over the weekend, especially with the Brigham Young University vs. University of Utah football game set for Saturday.

UDOT crews are suspending work between Provo and Salt Lake City for game day, which includes bridge work happening in Lehi between Main Street and 2100 North.

Other construction projects around the state will continue as usual, including a project on I-215 near the interchange with I-15 in North Salt Lake. This project will reduce traffic to one lane in both directions. Crews are conducting maintenance on two bridges, and the work is expected to be complete in mid-October.
