DRAPER, Utah -- A new 40 foot shark tunnel was lifted into place at the new Living Planet Aquarium in Draper Wednesday.

The plexiglass is more than six inches thick and weighs more than 26,000 pounds. When it's completed, visitors will be able to walk through the tunnel while sharks swim overhead.

Living Planet representative Deana Walz said there will be several new shark species in the aquarium when it opens in December, but moving all of the animals won't be easy.

"Some animals are going to be moved in a five gallon bucket with a little oxygen air pump in there, where our sharks are going to have to be moved in a much larger container," she said. "We have special vans that have generators on there that will have oxygen ready, and heaters if needed depending on what time of year we are going to move these animals."
