OGDEN, Utah — Homes were evacuated Monday morning due to a gas leak in Ogden Monday.

Officials said a contractor working near 948 East Rushton Street hit and ruptured a small gas line.

At least four homes have been evacuated as a precaution. Crews are digging up the street to reach the gas line and seal it. Several homes in the area will be without gas service while crews work to fix the line.
