Car chase in Park City ends in assault, drug arrest, police say

PARK CITY –A Summit County man was found with three different kinds of drugs after attempting to flee police early Sunday morning, according to Park City Police.

At approximately 2 a.m. police received several 911 calls reporting that an impaired driver hit a taxi on Main Street then fled from the scene, according to the police watch log.

Officers located the suspected vehicle near 9th Street and Park Avenue and attempted to make a traffic stop, police said. The suspected motorist, Chance Wilson, would not stop and eventually hit an occupied Park City Police vehicle.

Wilson then reportedly resisted arrest.

Wilson was booked into Summit County Jail on charges of assault on a police officer, fleeing, driving under the influence, hit and run, possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of GHB.
