Anti-bullying assembly features Jazz Bear, dancers

Posted

HERRIMAN, Utah – Hundreds of high school students filled a gymnasium during an assembly that featured the Utah Jazz Bear, Jazz Dancers and other special guests—and it was all in an effort to reduce bullying.

The assembly at Herriman High School featured students with T-shirts emblazoned with the slogan: “I am the C.U.R.E.”

The initials on the shirt stand for: courage, unity, revolution and empowerment. The Utah Jazz and the Utah Anti-Bullying Coalition teamed up with the school for the event in order to spread a message about stopping bullying.

Friday’s assembly was the first stop, and the campaign will make similar visits at other Utah schools. For more information about the Utah Anti-Bullying Coalition, visit their website.
