Near drowning victim from Weber River in stable condition, officials say

WEBER COUNTY, Utah — A man rescued from the Weber River Monday evening is currently in serious but stable condition as of Tuesday afternoon, according to a tweet from the Weber County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 5:57 p.m. on Monday, the sheriff’s office and Weber Fire personnel responded to the incident located in Unincorporated Weber County.

Deputies and fire personnel pulled the 50-year-old victim from the water and started CPR.

The victim’s name has not been released pending notification and approval of the family, according to a tweet from the sheriff’s office.
