Bicyclist struck by car in SLC

SALT LAKE CITY — One person sustained minor injuries during a collision between a bicycle and a vehicle Friday morning, according to police.

At approximately 4 a.m. Salt Lake City Police responded to the area of 1700 S. West Temple.

Lt. David Cracroft said a motorist struck a cyclist then got out of the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.

Cracroft said the motorist did return a short time later.

The cyclist suffered minor injuries and asked to be transported to an area hospital, police said.

The victim’s current condition is unknown.
