SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah – Police responded to a shooting in South Salt Lake Thursday evening that left the victim in critical condition.
Lt. Justin Hoyal of the Unified Police Department confirmed to FOX 13 News there had been a shooting in the area of 200 East Rigdon Ave.
Witnesses said a man had been shot in the stomach area and others reported hearing between six and 10 shots fired. Officials at the scene tell FOX 13 News that a victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Several people were taken into custody in connection with the incident.
