SALT LAKE CITY – Police have two brothers in custody after they allegedly ran from police early Monday morning.
Authorities said a car that had been reported stolen drove by officers downtown at about 4 a.m.
When officers tried to pull over the car, the suspects sped off and then pulled into a parking spot at the Red Lion Hotel.
“Just as our officer got visual on the vehicle, the passenger got out and ran,” Lt. Craig Gleason said. “The officer took control of people in the car and other officers found the passenger who had taken off running on the ninth floor in the Red Lion.”
Police said the car was stolen out of Provo.
The two brothers are now facing charges for possession of a stolen vehicle.
