NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon is slowing down; according to Autoweek, Gordon said 2015 will be the last time he competes for a championship.
Gordon, 43, stopped short of saying he’s retiring, leaving himself the option to compete in a championship race after 2015. He said he may compete in selected events, but told Autoweek“I currently have no plans to do that.”
Gordon has earned four career Cup Championships, three Daytona 500 victories and a record five Brickyard 400 wins.
He is third in all-time victories behind NASCAR Hall of Famers Richard Petty and David Pearson.
