SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz announced Sunday that they have signed guard/forward Elijah Millsap to a multi-year contract, and the deal comes after Millsap had signed two, 10-day contracts beginning January 5.
The financial terms of the contract were not released, as is the policy for the Jazz. Since January 5, Millsap has appeared in 10 games and he averaged 5.7 points and 2.2. rebounds in each game, as well as 1.1 assists and 1.1. steals.
Millsap became the 12th overall NBA D-League Call-Up of the season when the Jazz signed him from the NBA Development Leagues’ Bakersfield Jam. Millsap is from Monroe, La. and he played for two seasons at Louisiana-Layfayette before transferring to University of Alabama at Birmingham, according to the press release. He was not selected in the NBA Draft in 2010, the year he graduated.
