4 teens arrested in connection with South Salt Lake structure fire, police say

SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah –Four teenagers have been arrested on arson charges in connection with a structure fire in South Salt Lake last month, officials said Tuesday afternoon.

On Jan. 26, fire crews responded to an abandoned apartment building, located at 3045 S. 395 East, that was fully engulfed in flames.

Police received information that three boys and a girl were seen leaving the area just before the blaze was reported,  according to South Salt Lake police.

Tips from the community helped identify the juveniles involved as three boys and a girl, all 14 years old.

The Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office is now screening the case.
