SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah – Four suspects are in custody after they led deputies on a high-speed chase that ended when they crashed the stolen car on I-80 in Parleys Canyon.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Officer said the chase started when Walmart called 911 about a theft.

The Walmart employee followed the suspects to the parking lot and gave authorities a description of the vehicle.

Deputies found the car and tried to make a routine traffic stop but the suspects sped off and the chase ensued.

Authorities chased the suspects for about eight miles on I-80 westbound through Parleys Canyon until the suspects crashed the car near mile post 130 at the mouth of the canyon.

Officials said three suspects ran from the car and were later arrested.

A fourth suspect was arrested in the vehicle.

Two men and two women are now in custody; three of them went to the hospital for minor injuries.
