MAGNA, Utah — Residents of a Magna duplex were displaced after a fire destroyed part of the structure Friday night.
At about 10 p.m., Unified Fire Authority responded to the scene where it appeared the east side of the duplex was in flames, according to fire officials.
The blaze was under control in less than five minutes.
Officials say renters living in the east unit were not home at the time. Renters in the west unit were evacuated and will be displaced because of smoke damage.
Officials say the east unit is a total loss.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, however authorities say it does not look suspicious.
