SALT LAKE CITY — A man assisting at a Salt Lake City day care has been taken into custody after he admitted to touching a 3-year-old girl’s vagina, according to police Monday.
Timothy Mark Nigh assists in running the home day care, according a probable cause statement. On May 9, a 3-year-old child told someone that Nigh touched her private part.
When questioned, Nigh admitted that he touched the girl on three different occasions, according to the probable cause statement.
The statement also indicates that Nigh admitted to touching two other girls, ages 3 and 2, on three separate occasions while he was babysitting at the home day care.
Nigh was booked into Salt Lake County Jail on nine counts of sodomy on a child, a first-degree felony and nine counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony. Bail has been set at $150,000.
