SANDY, Utah – Two lanes of northbound I-15 were closed near 90th South in Sandy Saturday after an SUV rolled over and came to rest on its roof, but later Saturday afternoon the closure was reduced to a single lane.
A Utah Department of Transportation camera in the area showed a vehicle on its roof and blocking two lanes on I-15 as emergency crews responded.
Just before 3 p.m., a police vehicle was used to push the SUV into the HOV lane, reducing some of the traffic congestion caused by the crash. See the video above for footage of the vehicle being moved, which is courtesy of UDOT.
Trooper Lawrence Hopper, Utah Highway Patrol, said preliminary indications are that no one was injured in the single-vehicle rollover crash.
