Bear roaming Park City found, tranquilized in Summit County

PARK CITY, Utah – Officials said the bear that has been roaming Summit County has been found.

Summit County Sheriff J. Martinez said the bear was spotted in Pinebrook at about 6 a.m. Monday.

After searching for about five hours, the Department of Natural Resources tranquilized the bear and removed it from the area.

Officials said they plan to relocate the bear to a remote area of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
