SALT LAKE CITY — Police are investigating an alleged attempted abduction at the Salt Lake School for Performing Arts Monday, police said Tuesday.
At about 4:49 p.m., several children on a playground at the school, located at 2291 S. 2000 East, were approached by a vehicle with three males inside, according to the Salt Lake City police watch log.
The men inside the car offered the children candy to get into the vehicle. After the kids declined the offer, they drove away, police reported.
The car was last seen traveling south on 2000 East and is described as an older green or dark blue Subaru wagon.
Police describe the males as two white men and one Asian man, all in their 20s. One of the men was described as wearing a blond wig and appeared to be filming the encounter from the back seat.
No other calls were reported about the car or this type of encounter, police say.
