PIUTE COUNTY, Utah -- Search and rescue crews recovered the body of a 19-year-old man who fell off a pontoon boat while not wearing a life jacket at Otter Creek State Park Saturday, and officials said the cold water made it difficult for the man to swim.

Lt. Regan Wilson, Utah State Parks, said the body of the 19-year-old man was recovered Saturday between 10 and 10:30 p.m. after divers searched for several hours.

Wilson said the man is from the Philippines and was working at Bryce Canyon National Park. The man fell from a pontoon boat and wasn't wearing a life jacket, and Wilson said the cold water made it hard for the man to swim.

Piute County crews were assisted by personnel from Wasatch County Search and Rescue, who happened to be conducting training with SONAR equipment at Fish Lake--which according to Google Maps is about 76 miles away via US-89.

The identity of the man who died has not yet been released.
