HURRICANE, Utah — Search and rescue crews recover body of drowning victim at Quail Creek Reservoir Monday night, according to park officials.

The victim’s body was recovered at about 8:30 p.m. The 30 to 35-year-old man, visiting from out of state, was swimming with family and friends at the reservoir when he called for help, said Laura Melling, director of the Sand Hollow State Park Complex.

Melling said family members tried to reach the victim but he kept pulling them under the water as he tried to save himself.
